At Linx Institute we want you to succeed. That’s why we provide you with ongoing support and encouragement throughout your course. To increase your chances of success you must be:
- Comfortable with using technology, so you can access and submit our materials and assessments online
- Motivated to study, learn and achieve
- Self disciplined and able to set aside time each week to complete set tasks and work on assignments
- Sufficiently skilled in English language to read, write and communicate with others at a reasonable level of understanding
- Someone who enjoys engaging with other people and possesses good interpersonal skills.
How much work and study is involved in my course?
The amount of learning you will have will vary depending on whether there are work placement requirements to complete the qualification.
If there are work placement requirements, they are usually undertaken in blocks of one week (60 hours) to two weeks (120 hours). You can check the work placement requirements by viewing the course information section on this website.
All of your learning and assessment resources will be delivered to you online (even if you are attending face-to-face classes). You will be expected to work your way through these and keep up with the deadlines provided when you enrol. We understand that everyone is different and works at different paces, so we can be flexible about due dates when you advise us of any difficulties.
If you are attending on-campus classes, in general, we expect you will be studying in the classroom for 15 hours per week (2 days) throughout the duration of your course. In addition, you will need to complete quizzes, assignments, assessment activities, further research and directed self study activities. We estimate you will need to spend an additional day per week for this self-directed study.
If you are studying online or via one-to-one study, we estimate that you will need to undertake the time equivalent of the on-campus study mode as above.
Traineeship arrangements differ to the above study modes as this is an employment based option, however the volume of learning required will be similar. You can find out more about traineeship arrangements by contacting us directly at Linx Institute.
